2nd round of 30-day special action plan from Jan 2

Vikarabad: Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy on Sunday noted that villages were transformed following the effective implementation of the 30-day special action plan. She distributed tractors to the panchayats under Palle Pragathi scheme at Black Grounds here on Sunday.

The Minister said even officials were apprehensive about the success of scheme, when it was introduced by the CM KCR. But now, it is evident that the visionary scheme of the CM had become successful.

She said Rs 38 crore was sanctioned to the Vikarabad district. "Peoples' representatives should make use of tractors and see that villages should be clean and green. The second phase of 30-day action plan will again start on January 2," she said.

Chevella MP Ranjith Reddy said people should come forward to make their villages neat and clean. ZP Chairperson Sunitha Mahender Reddy said that by utilising the funds, villages should turn clean so that there would not be any issues of diseases.

As many as 61 tractors were distributed to beneficiaries from 525 panchayats in the district. Every tractor has one water tanker and a grass cutting blade and a trolly.

MLAs Dr M Anand, Kale Yadaiah, Narender Reddy, Rohit Reddy, chairmen of corporations Nagender Goud, P Krishnamurthy and Granthalaya Samstha chairman Kondal Reddy were also present.
