The Nokia 9 PureView is finally ready to make its entry in our country. HMD Global has begun to trigger the launch of flagship Nokia 9 PureView in India. It is almost sure that the smartphone will go on sale from July 10th on Nokia.com/phones and Flipkart. It will also go on sale across top mobile retail outlets in India from July 17.

Considering Nokia 8 Sirocco price last year, we can expect Nokia 9 PureView will be unveiled at around Rs 49,999 in India. The company may look for a more affordable price tag in the country to compete against the likes of OnePlus 7 and Honor 20.

The launch of the Nokia 9 PureView was highly awaited, but its delay in bringing the device to India has been questioned. The device was available in the US and some European markets for some time. The postponement of the Nokia 9 PureView in India was explained by an HMD Global executive some time ago, who said the company wanted to "serve the market with what is relevant to the market".

This year HMD Global has launched three phones in India: Nokia 2.2, Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 4.2. These are the company's low budget smartphones that highlight the screens and functions of water drops, like a dedicated Google Assistant button.

Specifications of Nokia 9 PureView

Nokia 9 PureView is a premium smartphone that offers a glass and goal design, a Snapdragon 845 chipset and a penta-camera configuration, among other features.

Its penta camera setup with Zeiss optics is the USP of the Nokia 9 PureView. All five cameras on the back offer 12MP f/1.8 sensors can shoot at the same time to offer a single high-resolution image with 10x more light. The Google Photos app provided helps with a depth editor to adjust the background blur after capturing a photo. It also comes with an updated Pro Camera UI to offer more control while taking pictures.

The Snapdragon 845 chipset is utilised thoroughly during imaging workloads. It sports a 5.99-inch 2K AMOLED display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and symmetrical bezels on the top and bottom. HMD is using a PureDisplay technology which brings HDR10 support. The smartphone also supports Qi wireless charging and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The flagship gets a 6000 series aluminium frame and Gorilla Glass 5 on front and back. The device runs on stock Android 9 Pie and powered by a 3,320mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
