Ideas to avoid your smartphone from overheating

We often hear complaints from smartphone users about their handsets getting heated up. And very common reasons for overheating are during- charging the device, playing games or watching a video. This problem is gaining more ground as the smartphone industry is coming out with devices option of the higher battery capacity of 4000mAh and more.

One of the reasons behind overheating could be also because of the hardware problem. But we can follow a few precautionary measures and get the problem fixed.

Please consider these tips:

1. Avoid direct contact with sunlight

Direct sunlight exposure for long-time can heat up the smartphone. In particularly with plastic back design phones this problem is faced more. According to a study, when the device is left out in sun for a long period, the touch-screen gets affected. During warm weather, it is advisable to carry the mobile in bags.

2. While charging don't keep mobile on a sofa or bed

While charging a smartphone emits heat. Keeping it on bed or sofa actually blocks the excess heat dissipation, and it further raises the device's temperature. While charging it is advisable to keep the phone on hard surfaces.

3. Take out the back case cover

A back case cover of your mobile traps the heat generated and increases the temperature of your mobile. Removing the cover will avoid the heat lock in and let the device cool down.

4. Do not charge your smartphone overnight

Many of us leave the phone to charge overnight, it is a bit common among all of us. This will heat up the handset and in long-run also impact the battery.

5. Delete apps that exhaust the processing power

There are several apps that keep running in the background which exhausts the processing abilities of the smartphone. This also causes overheating of the mobile. So, it is advisable to delete such apps from the handset.

6. Avoid third-party chargers and batteries

If possible, ensure that you avoid using third-party chargers to power the smartphone. This directly crashes battery and overheats the device. It is advised similarly for third-party batteries as well.
