BSNL offers free Amazon Prime membership on Rs 499 and below broadband plans

State-owned-telco BSNL has made changes to its broadband plans. Customers who subscribe to a broadband plan below Rs 499 will also get free Amazon Prime membership for one year.

Earlier BSNL was giving Prime access to subscribers who had opted for Rs 745 plan or higher value. But now, broadband subscribers who choose Rs 499 plan or lower will be able to enjoy the benefits of the Amazon Prime membership. The benefits include free access to Amazon Prime Videos, Prime Music, Prime Reading, fast delivery and special services access. Offers and discounts on the Amazon e-retail platform.

But there is a clause. Not all BSNL broadband subscribers can get access to the free Prime membership. As per a Telecom Talk report, both new and existing broadband users can get access to Amazon Prime's free membership. The condition is they have to continue the same plan for the whole year. For example, if one has opted for a broadband package of Rs 499, they must keep this package for 12 months of that year to get benefited from the Prime membership for free.

In addition to the benefits of the Amazon Prime membership, the telecom operator has also introduced a new cash return scheme for its broadband users. The company is offering up to 25 per cent cash back on its annual DSL, Bharat Fiber and BBoWiFi broadband plans. When customers choose a broadband plan below Rs 499 will get a refund of 15%, those who wanted a plan between Rs 499 and Rs 900 will get a refund of 20%. Whereas, subscribers who choose a plan with a value of more than 900 rupees will get a refund of 25%.

In addition to this, BSNL also offers a 15% refund to those who chose for its fixed line plans. However, landline users are exempted from the benefit of Amazon Prime membership.
