Asus 6z to launch in India today, know the details

It's been more than a month since Asus announced ZenFone 6, its latest flagship smartphone worldwide. Asus at that time said it will bring the ZenFone 6 to the Indian market and today, it will be commercially available in India. However, due to legal restrictions, Asus changed its name and will call it Asus 6z in India.

As the teasers suggest the Asus 6z will be available exclusively in Flipkart. Technically, the Asus 6z is expected to be the same ZenFone 6 launched worldwide. Therefore, it will transmit all of the features and highlights of the international version device. The Asus 6z is expected to be available in minimum three variants, with the base version with at least 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.

Features of Asus 6z

The Asus 6z is basically known for its Flip Camera module that helps Asus eliminate the display notch. The module carries a 48-megapixel the primary camera with the Sony IMX586 sensor and a secondary 13-megapixel wide-angle camera, both of which can be used as a front camera when needed. The Flip Camera is controlled by a mechanized motor and to make it more durable Asus has built several safety mechanisms.

The Flip camera becomes a narrow bezel screen without notches with a thin chin. The phone sports a 6.3-inch IPS LCD panel with Full HD + resolution. There is a capacitive fingerprint sensor on the back. Like all 2019 flagships, the phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 855 chipset that comes with a choice of 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 64GB, 128GB or 256GB of storage. The phone also offers a triple card slot that can accommodate two SIM cards and one micro SD card at the same time. The device is powered by a 5000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 support. It also has a smart key that can be customized to start the Google Assistant or custom functions.

Expected price of Asus 6z in India

The Asus 6z is aimed at this year's main phones. In India, there are possibilities that Asus can evaluate it's competitively compared to the OnePlus 7 series. The basic version with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage can cost around price closer to the OnePlus 7, that is, lesser than Rs 37,000. On the other hand, the prices for the high-end variants could reach the low-end variant of the OnePlus 7 Pro around Rs 50,000.
