Narayan Jagadeesan monopolized Tamil Nadu's batting innings by smashing his fifth straight century at the competitions, establishing a world record for the highest number of consecutive centuries in List A cricket. He went on to achieve a double century and 277 runs in 141 balls until being bowled out by Arunachal Pradesh's Chetan Anand.

When batting first, the opening pair of Narayan Jagadeesan and Sai Sudharsan for Tamil Nadu amassed 416 runs, the highest partnership for any wicket in the history of List A cricket.

Techi Doria bowled out Sudharsan (154 runs off 102) in the 39th over to break the massive alliance. Jagadessan returned soon after in the 42nd over. Tamil Nadu's innings concluded with a score of 506/2 after the third wicket partnership of 58 runs between Baba Aparajith and Indrajith.
