ATK Mohun Bagan get off to a winning start in ISL season 7
Bambolim : ATK Mohun Bagan began their campaign on a winning note by scraping past Kerala Blasters FC 1-0 at the GMC Stadium Bambolim, Goa on Friday.
After being the dominant side in the first 45, ATKMB started the second on the back foot. KBFC looked more threatening and came out with attacking intent. The designated home side though lacked the final product in the attacking third. KBFC were made to pay for it as Roy Krishna's poacher goal in the 67th minute sealed the win for ATKMB.
The seventh edition of the Indian Super League (ISL) football became the first major sports competition to kick off since the Covid-induced lockdown in March, and Nita Ambani, founder chairperson of Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), which operates the league, welcomed its resumption.
