'Good session out in the middle,' Virat Kohli's India training hard ahead of 1st Test vs New Zealand, See Pic
Virat Kohli shared a picture of himself training with his teammates ahead of India's first Test against New Zealand at Basin Reserve in Wellington.
"Good session out in the middle,' Kohli captioned the photo where he was seen diving to take a catch while training with his Test deputy Ajinkya Rahane as Rishabh Pant watched the two.
Indian pacer Ishant Sharma, who was out of action for nearly three weeks since he had sustained an injury while bowling in a Ranji Trophy match, has reportedly returned to training and has also received appreciation from Kohli for troubling the batters with bounce and pace in the nets.
"He looked pretty similar to how he was bowling before the ankle injury and was hitting good areas. Really good to see him bowling with pace. He has the experience too," Kohli said in an interview on Wednesday in regards to Ishant's return.

Speaking further in the press conference ahead of the first Test in Wellington, Kohli said," We have prepared in a manner where our fitness levels and concentration levels are such that we can compete against anyone in the world. That's the kind of confidence we will carry into this series."
It is also understood that Pant, who did not play the ODI series, will once again have to wait as Wriddhiman Saha is expected to keep wickets in the opening Test, beginning on Friday.
The second Test is scheduled to begin from Feb. 29 at Christchurch's Hagley Oval. Earlier, India thrashed New Zealand 5-0 in the Twenty20 International (T20I) series before the BlackCaps returned the favour by clinching the ODI series 3-0.
