Bumrah and co blow away Windies to help India go one up in the series

The Indian bowlers were on top of their game as they blew away West Indies in the fourth innings of the first Test match in Antigua to go one up in the two-match series. Chasing a stiff ask of 419 runs for victory, the hosts were in no contention whatsoever right and offered a meek surrender by bundling out for a paltry total of 100 runs.

While the last wicket stand of between Kemar Roach and Miguel Cummins made the Indians go through a frustrating phase, Ishant Sharma did the honours of dismissing Roach to complete the formalities.

The Indian attack was spearheaded by JaspritBumrah who seemed unplayable on the day. None of the Windies batsmen looked in a position to counter the pacer's skill and formed a procession to the pavilion in his bowling.Bumrah accounted for the wickets of Kraigg Brathwaite, John Campbell, Darren Bravo, Shai Hope and Jason Holder as he registered yet another five-wicket haul in Test cricket.Bumrah's heroics were ably supported by the likes of Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Shami who picked three and two wickets respectively.

Earlier, India's effort with the bat was led by AjinkyaRahane and HanumaVihari, who joined hands to stitch a crucial partnership. While Rahane brought uo his 10th Test century before being dismissed at 102, Vihari fell seven runs short of his maiden Test hundred.

The second Test will be begin on 30 August in Jamaica.
