Akhtar says 'we'll capture Kashmir and then invade India'

'We'll First Capture Kashmir And Then Invade India,' Ex-Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar backs Ghazwa-e-Hind

Batting for 'Ghazwa-e-Hind', former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Malik has said Muslims will capture Kashmir and then invade India.

Ghazwa-e-Hind denotes 'Holy War Against India', and it is a phrase that is regularly used by Pakistani militant leaders. In fact, the phrase has been used against India for decades now. According to various reports, 'The ultimate conquest of India' would start with the forces carrying black flags, from Syria, marching toward India with an aim to defeat and convert it into an Islamic state.

In an old video, which has now gone viral, Akhtar is seen talking about Ghazwa-e-Hind.

"It is written in our scriptures that Ghazwa-e-Hind will take place, we will first capture Kashmir and then invade India from all sides. The river in Attock will be coloured red twice with blood. Forces from Afghanistan will reach till Attock. After those forces will rise from Shamal Mashriq, different contingents will arrive from Uzbekistan, etc. All of this refers to Khorasan, a historical region which extended till Lahore," The former Pakistan cricketer Akhtar told Samaa TV in an interview.

Shamal Mashriq is an Urdu reference for a place situated to the north of the Arabian Peninsula.

Ghazwa, in Arabic, suggests a war that is conducted by faith and not materialistic or territorial gains and is credited to Islamic concept derived from the hadiths — a set of sayings by Prophet Mohammad. The phrase is used refer to Muslim warriors conquering the country India, according to a report in The Print.

Primarily known as the Pakistan-based terror group, Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) have used the term Ghazwa regularly to recruit, get financial help and to justify its attacks on the Indian soil, as per The Print. The groups like JeM have been pressing for Jihad against India by telling gullible youths that it is holy in Islam and those who participate in it will be given a direct entry into paradise.

With 224 international matches under his belt, Akhtar is one of the biggest names in Pakistan sports and has a huge fan following in the Indian sub-continent. However, his recent comments have left the cricket fans shocked and angry in India.
