4th National Masters Games 2021 brochure unveiled
Hyderabad: The brochure of the 4th National Masters Games 2021 was unveiled by Sports Authority of Telangana State Chairman Allipuram Venkateshwar Reddy on Tuesday at his chamber in L.B.Stadium Hyderabad.
The 4th National Masters Games will be hosted by Telangana Masters Games Association (TMGA) under the auspices of Masters Games Federation (MGF) at the historic city of Hyderabad (Telangana) in February 2021. This was disclosed by Vinod Kumar, Secretary General of MGF, in Hyderabad.
Addressing the media, Vinod said that the 3rd edition of the games was held at Vadodara (Gujarat) in February this year and the Indian contingent for Kansai (Japan) World Masters Games will be selected on the basis of the performance of Vadodara games and the one to be held in Hyderabad in 2021.
More than 7,000 athletes both men and women from 28 states and around 3,000 officials are expected to participate in this mega event. Besides this 2,000 family members and friends of participants will also visit Hyderabad during this mega event, a press release said.
Competitions will be held in 15 disciplines - Athletics, Hockey, Football, Handball, Basketball, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Archery, Shooting, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Badminton, Tennis, Table Tennis, Swimming, Canoeing and Rowing.
Vinod said that TMGA will be seeking permission to use Gachibowli Sports Stadium, LB (Lal Bhadur) Stadium and Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy indoor stadium.
T.V.Rao, vice president MGF, Manmohan Singh, General Secretary, Suresh, RaviKumar president TMGA, Prabhakar Rao, Secretary, Sanjay, Treasurer, Raghunandan Reddy vice president TMGA, Pradeep Sam Ex Commander, Pramod Sam, Srinivas, Ramarao and other officials were also present.
