VIT-AP conducts engineering clinics

Amaravati: VIT-AP university conducted engineering clinics an innovation expo at its Amaravati campus. It’s a three-day engineering clinics expo with two themes that are Innovative Projects in Reverse Engineering for Sophomores and Innovative Projects based on Arduino for fresher’s where all the students have worked on 280+ projects and developed prototypes. some exceptional projects have been shortlisted for the final expo on Friday. 

Dr.D. Subhakar, Vice chancellor VIT –AP University told that the concept of engineering clinics is drawn from the idea that engineers to require a place to get the hands-on expertise of knowledge gained from the courses studied in class.

 Every student participates in a group project who comes across engineering streams (ECE, MECH and CSE) and applies the knowledge to create something special. Dr. Pallab Majhi, Sr. Technical Lead, Mercedes Benz, R&D India, Bangalore, Venkatarama Chary, DGM, Cyeint, M.S. Subramanyam, Sr. Consultant & Global Delivery Head, TCS, Subhransu Das, Delivery manager, Techmahindra checked the concepts behind each innovation and decided the sophomores’ winner of this competition are Cloud generator – CGOR and runner up Helper for Blind people. Third place First Aid Multi-Terrain Fresher’s winner is Third eye for blind, runner up is Smart Streets and the Third Place goes to Smart Wardrobe Management System.

Dr.C.L.V. V Sivakumar, Registrar, VIT-AP university said that VIT students are living up to the motto of the University - Apply Knowledge Improve Life-  and the students are creating prototypes with innovative ideas which comes from their learning to improve the lives.
