Yadadri Brahmotsavams from today, huge rush of devotees expected

Yadadri: Yadadri Temple Executive Officer Geetha Reddy informed that the temple authorities were all set for Yadadri temple annual Brahmotsavams to be held from March 8 to 18.

On Thursday, she informed that temple authorities have planned to conduct Brahmotsavams at renovated Swayambu temple. But as per the instructions of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao during his recent visit to the shrine, it has been decided to conduct the festivities at Balalayam like last year.

As part of festivities, all arrangements including painting, decoration, lighting and providing basic amenities have been completed, she informed.  
Further, the celestial wedding of Lord Narasimha Swamy with his consort Goddess Lakshmi would be held in Balalayam in the morning and at High School Ground located at Yadagirigutta in the night from 8 pm to 10 pm on March 15, she said  On behalf of the State government, the Chief Minister will present the silk clothes and Mutyala Talambralu to the deities.

Similarly, as part of tradition, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams will also offer silk clothes to the deities on the wedding day, she informed Adding that the district police have made all security arrangements to avert any untoward incidents during Brahmotsavams, the EO said cultural programmes would be conducted on the hillock every day from March 13 to 17.
