A boon for unorganised labour

  The national pension scheme for workers and labourers of unorganised sector was announced in the interim budget in February this year.  It will provide monthly pension of Rs 3,000 to the employees of unorganised sector after 60 years of age. Mr Modi also distributed the PM-SYM pension cards to select beneficiaries. The Prime Minister had said that launching of Shram Yogi Man Dhan Yojana was the extension of various social security schemes implemented during the last five years. He said 42 crore workers from un-organised sectors would be eligible for this pension scheme by contributing Rs 55 to Rs 200 monthly.
