BC students not given scholarships, books

   Osmania University: The Osmania University (OU) students condemned the delay in giving scholarships, study material and books to the students selected for training in BC Study Circle. They staged a protest in front of the BC Study Circle on Tuesday. Students expressed their anger over the negligence of the director of the study circle who was not ready to listen to their issues.

Telangana State government established BC Study Circle to help BC students succeed in various competitive examinations for government positions. About 500 students are screened and are being trained for competitive exams held for various government positions. The students said that proper facilities are not being provided although the training commenced five months ago. They lamented that they have not been provided with study materials and fellowships so far, as promised earlier by the government. The students lamented that officials are now saying that only a few students would get the materials and scholarships. They urged the State government to respond to their protest and address their issues. 

Among students who participated in the protest include Venkat, Nagaraju, Vijay Kumar, Anju, Shivteja, Mounika and others
