Khammam: The Congress Party's fire brand leader Renuka Chowdary has reportedly made sensational comments on Thursday stating that she would hesitate to leave the Congress party if she was denied MP ticket.

Meanwhile, the party leaders and her supporters were shocked to see Renuka making such comments. Renuka, a Congress loyalist has served as Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha member in the past and has been maintaining good relations with Gandhi’s family for decades.

It can be recalled that the Mahakutami was able to do well in Khammam in the recently-held Assembly polls and this has been creating heavy competition in Congress party with many of its leaders seeking Khammam Parliament ticket.

Renuka has made these comments in the wake of party considering the names of several senior leaders. She is also reportedly unhappy with Congress high command over newly-elected DCC presidents for Khammam and Kothagudem-Bhadradri districts.

Meanwhile, the elections won't be a cakewalk for Congress in Khammam Lok Sabha constituency as Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief K Chandrashekar Rao and his son KT Rama Rao have been focusing more on Khammam district after the Assembly poll setback. The pink party cadre hoping that the situation will turn in favour of TRS if KCR contests from the Khammam Lok Sabha segment.
