Minority panel lauds TMREIS schools
Bahadurpura: National Commission for Minorities Secretary J Rama Krishna Rao, along with Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TMREIS) Secretary B Shafiullah, visited two TMREIS school girls situated at Nawabsab Kunta in Bahadurpura and Junior College for girls at Ibrahimpatnam on Friday. He was very much impressed with the performance of schools and students of both the schools and the junior college.
Complimenting the officials, teachers and students of TMREIS, Rao said, “Today is a very fortunate day in my life. I could see a centre of excellence in the making. These are the ‘Temples of Modern India’ Pandit Nehru dreamed about.” He expressed his satisfaction that Muslim Girls, coming from downtrodden families, being bestowed with best of opportunities, both in learning and living.
“The glow in their faces and spark in their eyes are manifestly visible,” he said, adding that, “I am convinced that two decades from now, Telangana will have many articulate minority women, who will provide leadership in villages. These girls will make tremendous difference to their extended families.”Rao lauded the quality of education and hostel facilities extended to the students of TMREIS. He appreciated the teachers for their role for all round development of TMREIS students, which is a rare sight in Government Schools.
He expressed his confidence that TMREIS would make a big impact on the society in the State of Telangana. He assured the officials that he would be tracking these schools “as a fellow Hyderabadi.” He went on record to declare that after HEH the Mir Osman Ali Khan, TMREIS was going to make a big impact on education in the State of Telangana.
In October 2018, Rama Krishna Rao visited TMREIS Schools in Ranga Reddy districts and lauded the initiative taken up by the Government of Telangana for socio-economic development of minority communities by establishing 204 minority residential schools in the State. He was so impressed with the performance of students that he issued an appreciation letter to Government of Telangana on the performance of TMREIS schools.
