Jayaram’s case to be probed in all angles, says top cop

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar on Thursday said that they have received the case file of Chigurupati Jayaram’s murder case from the Krishna District Police by a special messenger for further investigation on point of jurisdiction. 

He said based on the sensitivity of the issue and the confidence showed by Chigurupati Padmasree on Telangana police the case will be investigated in 360 degrees angle and will see that the culprits will be put behind the bars. 

He said ACP Banjara Hills is appointed as investigating officer. Since the deceased wife lodged the complaint in Jubilee Hills police station, it will be clubbed with the main case and under the supervision of West Zone DCP, the Banjara Hills ACP will investigate the case further. 

The CP said they will verify the documents and other attachments and re-register the case at Jubilee Hills Police Station for further investigation. As the allegations came on the two police officer’s involvement in the case that also will be investigated thoroughly.

He said Pitchaiah Chowdary (father-in-law of the deceased Chigurupati Jayram)  lodged a complaint on February 1 at Nandigama Police Station in Krishna District, AP by stating that his son-in-law Chigurupati Jayram was found dead at Itavaram Village on NH-65 under Nandigama Police Station limits and he suspected that some unknown persons had murdered him. 

A case in Crime number 46/19 under sections  419, 342, 346, 348, 384,302, 201, 202 r/w 34 IPC has been registered at Nandigama Police Station and was investigated partially. He said two persons were arrested in this case namely Rakesh Reddy and Srinivas and as per their confession the place of offence falls under Jubilee Hills PS limits.
