Town planning reforms in the offing says Goud
Nampally: Mahbubnagar MLA Srinivas Goud said that the government would bring new reforms in town planning. He was speaking at the unveiling of diary and calendar of Telangana Town Planning Officer Employees Union at Nampally Municipal Commissioner’s Office on Wednesday. He said that cities and villages should be developed systematically. Effective planning would enable proper development of towns, he added.
Ad hoc layouts designs would result in loss of revenue and cause several problems in future, the MLA said. Lauding the erstwhile Nizam for building efficient drainage systems, water tanks and lakes which were still operational even after hundreds of years, he said the State government led by visionary Chief Minister KCR was trying to tread the same path in developing towns.
Telangana Gazette Officer’s Association president Mamatha, general secretary Sathyanarayana, president of town planning officer association Jaganmohan Reddy, president of TGO, Hyderabad, Krishna Yadav and others were present.
