Indian Language in Focus: GUJARATI

Hyderabad Literary Festival pays special attention to one Indian language at each edition of the festival. Gujarati is the language in focus at HLF 2019. Music and dance from Gujrat are distinguished by several folk-dance forms such as garba, dandiya and garbi danced only by men! At the HLF an evening of garba will enliven the audience.

 Also watch for a rich mix of authors, film directors and poets who will be presenting different realms of poetry, panels, plenaries and movies at the HLF 2019. Well-known Gujarati poet and playwright Sitanshu Yashaschandra, writer Himanshi Shelat, a brilliant poet Udayan Thakkar, author Salil Tripathi, film directors Paresh Naik and Ketan Mehta will also be present.
