Drainage problem will be solved permanently: Bhupal Reddy

Nalgonda: District Collector Gaurav Uppal and Nalgonda MLA Kancharla Bhupal Reddy directed the municipal officials to take necessary steps to avoid water logging in the old city of Nalgonda town.

On Wednesday, the duo visited few wards in the Old City and examined the status of roads, drains and electric lights and other amenities. Later, speaking to officials concerned, the duo directed them to remove all encroachments on nalas for free flow of drain and storm water for the convenience of the people.

MLA Bhupal Reddy informed that already Rs 1 crore was sanctioned for the development of Mothikunta and assured that drain and storm water issues will be addressed permanently by completing the pending underground drainage works at the earliest. He informed that plans are afoot to beautify the town with funds sanctioned under Amruth scheme and with the help of CM KCR.

In this programme, Muncipal Commissioner Dev Singh, public health EE K Venkateshwarlu, local municipal councilors Dubba Ashok, Abhimanyu Srinivas, Ahmed Kaleem, TRS leader Yedla Srinu and locals participated. Meanwhile at another program, both Collector Gaurav Uppal and MLA Bhupal Reddy distributed gift packs to Christians on the eve of Christmas.
