Indywood Fashion Premier League launched at HITEX
Hyderabad: The biggest competitive fashion event of the year, Indywood Fashion Premier League (IFPL) was launched on December 2 at HITEX Exhibition Centre here. Powered by Indywood Billionaires Club (IBC) in association with Indywood Film Carnival and Government of Telangana, IFPL experienced a romance with fashion, in the form of a competition between teams owned by billionaires with business interests in films and entertainment. Exceptional designers, glamorous national and international showstoppers and models lined up over three days to showcase fashion trends from different film territories.
AbhiniSohan, Executive Director of IFPL said: “From trendy to modern, Indian ethnic to international classy designs, IFPL will showcase collections from different territories and countries.” Director of the Fashion show Lakshmi Atul, Mrs. Grand Prix andMrs United Nations Pageant, expressed her delight thus: “India will have never witnessed such an event where diverse fashion trends from different regions of our country shall be focussed on.”
Directed by renowned fashion choreographer, Sham Khan, the event was divided into national and international sessions. The opening segment showcased extraordinaire collection of renowned Bollywood designer Gagan Kumar. The closing segment would witness designer wears of Jayanthi Ballal. Day one witnessed collections of renowned Iranian designer ToktamRezaee and celebrity designer Santosh kumar.
Sponsored by Nambiar Builders, the Karnataka segment on December 3 showcased traditional ethnic collections by Akshara Bingi from Weavers Society of Telangana. Also there was exotic international maillot / beachwear and indo- western collections by Abeal Robin (Monsoon Night) and Ashfaq Ahmed respectively.
Georgeous models, including Samhita Vinya, Vipin Mangalasseri, Antra Raut, Seethalakshmi, PritiSoni and Samarth Ambujakrishnan walked the ramp for these incredible designers. Russian actors Alyona Rudovyskaya and Camila Borghesan, Iranian actors Rana Azadvir and Ameer Aghaee too walked the ramp as showstoppers for IFPL
