Update: 2018-12-01 05:30 IST

Hyderabad: Former MP Lagadapati Rajagopal has predicted that about eight to ten rebels who are in the fray as Independents are likely to win the Assembly polls in Telangana and play a crucial role in the formation of the next government by whichever party it might be - either the TRS or the Congress-led Praja Front after December 7 polls.

Rajagopal, whose surveys are known to come close to the election results, created ripples on Friday with that he would reveal the contents of his survey on December 7. "There is interest among the people in both Telugu states on the outcome of Telangana elections," he said, adding that there may not be hung Assembly. He said he would release the names of the Independents (rebels) two every day before the arrival of the polling date.

As for the prediction for Friday, he said Independents Sivakumar Reddy and Jadhav Anil Kumar, who are in the fray for Narayanapet and Boath (ST) Assembly seats will win, Rajagopal said and made it clear that he was not a member of any political party as of now.
