Balakrishna to kick start poll campaign from November 30
Hyderabad: Telugu film hero and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) star campaigner N Balakrishna will kick start a five-day intensified poll campaign on behalf of Congress-led Mahakutami from November 30 in Telangana. The TDP leader on Monday finalised his tour in the poll bound T-State after consulting the Telangana leaders.
TDP Telangana unit president L Ramana and party general secretary R Chandrashekhar Reddy called on Balakrishna at Annapurna film studio here and discussed the campaign strategy. Leaders said that he will visit Khammam, Ashwaropet and Sattupally assembly constituencies in old Khammam district and another five segments in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits from where TDP candidates are in the fray. The TDP as a coalition partner of Congress will contest in 12 assembly segments in the State.
He will participate in road shows, rallies and public gatherings in the identified constituencies. Balakrishna will also join the poll campaign along with Congress leaders in some more assembly segments where Seemandhra voters are considerably significant.
The TDP leader will also hold a special campaign in Kukatpally constituency from where his departed elder brother N Harikrishna’s daughter Suhasini is fighting elections for the first time. Balakrishna already extended his support to Suhasini and participated a rally in the segment recently. During the five-day campaign, Balakrishna will dedicate his whole time to the party activities in Telangana only, a senior leader said.
