Telangana martyr’s mother Shankaramma threatens suicide

Suryapet: Denied ticket from the TRS, mother of Telangana martyr Srikantha Chary, Shankaramma has said that she would file nomination as an independent candidate from Huzurnagar constituency.  

Shankaramma expressed her anger over selection of Shanampudi Siadi Reddy as TRS candidate from Huzurnagar seat. She blamed that Power Minister Jagadish Reddy for her denial of her candidature. She demanded TRS chief and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to roll back the decision and allocate ticket to her.

She said that denying ticket to her is an insult to all Telangana martyrs. She threatened to commit suicide if justice is no done to her. She said as a party constituency in charge she strengthened TRS  considerably across the Huzurnagar constituency in the last four years and  stated, she became scapegoat  in caste and money politics. 

In this connection, a video with her protest, opinions on party leaders and warning went viral on the social media sites on Thursday. Meanwhile, according to reliable sources, dissident leader Shankaramma is going to file her nominations as TRS rebel candidate from Suryapet and Huzurnagar Assembly constituencies on Friday.

Few TRS leaders on condition of anonymity said that there is a possibility of high drama by Shankaramma at Suryapet during the filing of her nomination.
