KCR family in illegal sand business

Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader and former chief minister of Maharashtra Prithviraj Chavan on Sunday alleged that the family members of caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao were doing illegal sand mining business but leveling allegations against other party leaders. 

Chavan made these remarks while addressing the media here. He said the TRS government could not do justice to family members of Dalit victims, who were killed in Nerella, which was located in Siricilla Assembly constituency represented by Industries Minister K. Taraka Rama Rao. He mocked KCR saying that the people of the State were calling as new Nawab of the State. On the controversial Pranahitha-Chevella Irrigation project, Chavan said he and then chief minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy held discussion on the issue of the rehabilitation of the land oustees of the project and arrived at an agreement on the issue.
