Imam birth anniversary meet tomorrow

Hyderabad: On the occasion of the centenary birth anniversary of Imam Ahmed Raza Khan, the founder of Barelvi movement, Tahreek E Islami, a non-political organisation, will hold a one-day ‘Imam Ahmed Raza’ conference at Masjid E Gubano, Nampally, on Thursday.

Mohammed Mufti Mohammed Asif Bilal Quadri Barkati, director at Tahreek E Islami, said that the conference is being organised as part of centenary year (Islamic) of birth of the Islamic Scholar, commonly revered as ‘Ala Hazrath’, a follower of Sunni Hanafi School of thought, on November 1. 

The conference will be held at the Head office of Tahreek E Islami, Masjid E Gulbano, Nampally at 8:00 p.m.

The main speaker will be (Munazire Ahle Sunnat) Maulana Muhammad Farooq Khan Razvi (Nagpur), and (Khalifa E Huzoor Tajush Shariah) Mufti Kamaal Akhtar of Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh, will preside over the conference.

The conference will be followed by a book launch of ‘Imam Ahmad Raza Hayaat Wa Khidmaat,’ authored by Mufti Mohammed Asif Bilal Quadri Barkati. The book highlights the history of ‘Ala Hazrath’ and his works related to Islam.
