Ex-MLA Devireddy Sudhir Reddy vows community hall to Muslims

Update: 2018-10-13 05:30 IST

LB Nagar: Former MLA Devireddy Sudhir Reddy on Friday met Muslims leaders of LB Nagar. Addressing them, he recalled allotment of land for Muslims in Autonagar during his term. While thanking Reddy for the gesture, they stated that some acres of the land were taken over by the Centre.  The land, they said, is now under the control of the Forest department and wanted it to be handed over to them for building a community hall, Idgah, and  a burial ground.

Reddy stated that that for securing the land, the Centre needs to be moved once a week after writing letters. He promised to hold talks with representatives of the government to solve the problem. Responding to their request for a function hall for the benefit of poor Muslims, Reddy assured to construct one if they blessed him in the ensuing elections by electing as MLA.
