Modi policies main reason for fall of Rupee: CPM
Hyderabad: CPI (M) politburo member B V Raghavulu alleged that the policies of the Centre headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi are the main reason for the fall of the rupee value. Addressing the party State Plenary meeting held here on Wednesday he said that the four-and-half years of Modi’s government showed no signs of development in the country.
Demonetization of the high-value currency notes had hit the country’s economy and people are not able to pull out themselves out of the woes caused due to the implementation of the GST. These developments taking place in the country makes it a necessity to defeat BJP in the general elections in 2019, he said.
Underlining that there is a four-corner fight ahead in the ensuing State Assembly elections in Telangana, Raghavulu alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had given up on his electoral promise to work for a Golden Telangana.
The senior party leader said that bringing the Bahujan Left Front Party (BLF) into power in Telangana alone will help to bring much-needed change in the lives of people of the State. Further, the sole agenda in the ensuing elections should be to defeat the BJP without entering into an electoral pact with the Congress party, he said.
Party State secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram pointed out that the early elections imposed upon Telangana would not help the people and for the development of the State in any way. But, “it will only benefit to the family of KCR,” he said.
