Kothagudem District pays tribute to Bapu

Kothagudem: The 150th  birth anniversary of Mahatama Gandhi was celebrated across the district on Tuesday as various departments and organisations organised programmes on the occasion.

District Collector Rajat Kumar Saini and Joint Collector K Venkateswarlu and other district officers attended the programme and paid tribute to Mahatama Gandhi. In Coal town of the Kothagudem, the Collector garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi called upon the people to adopt Gandhiji principles in their life.

In the temple town of Bhadrachalam, cultural programmes were conducted at the ITDA office and Sub Collector office. ITDA Project Officer Pamela Sathpathy and Bahvesh Mishra paid tribute to the Father of the nation on the occasion. 

Senior officers Narasimha Reddy, RDO SwarnaLatha, Municipal Commissioner Vasmi Krishna and others attended the programmes.
