Telangana TDP leaders meet Governor ESL Narasimhan over NBW against Naidu
Hyderabad: Telangana TDP unit on Monday demanded Governor ESL Narasimhan for his active intervention into the withdrawal of non-bailable arrest warrant served on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu by Maharashtra government. The TDP delegation, led by party president L Ramana, called on Governor at Raj Bhavan and submitted a memorandum requesting him to pursue the issue of arrest warrant against Naidu with the neighbouring State. He said the ruling BJP conspired to malign the image of AP CM ahead of his speech at United Nations headquarters soon.
The TDP leader said that Naidu and party leaders had staged a dharna to protect Telangana rights over Godavari river water at Babli in 2010. Issuing arrest warrant against the leaders was part of vindictive politics by the ruling BJP. He demanded the immediate withdrawal of cases against the TDP chief and others. Another senior leader R Chandrashekhar Reddy expressed dismay when he came to know that cases were booked against Naidu under eight sections.
