Start up India-Telangana Yatra launched at JPNCE

Mahbubnagar: The State government’s start-up India-Telangana yatra programme was formally launched in Jayaprakash Narayana College of Engineering recently in the district. As part of the programme, Telangana Innovation Centre and JPNCE College signed a MoU to promote innovations among the students. 

The main objective of this programme is to encourage innovative thinking among the engineering students and help them build their own entrepreneurial qualities so that they can come up with new ideas, thoughts and projects to help resolve so many burning issues in the society.

While talking on the occasion of the inaugural of the programme, Juui Ahmad, official representative for the ‘Start-up-India Telangana’ Programme, said that the students must do extensive reading and should come out with new innovative thinking  and accordingly take forward those thoughts to make them into real-time inventions and discoveries that provides effective solutions to various problems in society.

“Students, particularly from the engineering background must come out with innovative ideas and share their views with others. Using the present day technology they can begin their own businesses and can become star-up entrepreneurs. For helping them grow in their business, the state and central governments are ready to help them financially,” said Juui Ahmad. 

For enabling exhibit new innovations of the students, the organizers of Start-up India Telangana are organizing an exhibition from October 3-4 at JNTU Hyderabad, where they will exhibit the new and innovative thinking of various students at the exhibition. 

About 20 of those who will exhibit models of best of their ideas and thoughts will be given a cash prize of Rs. 50,000. As part of this, the representatives of Telangana Innovative Center signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Jayaprakash Narayana College of Engineering management on Monday. 

Start-up Yatra representatives Dr Radhika, Meraj, Ravi, Nikhita, Meraj along with Dr VE Chandrasekhar, principal of the polytechnic college, Dr. Sujeevan, coordinator, and students from degree colleges of Jadcherla, Mahbubnagar along with students from JPNCE took part in large number.
