Kavitha to helm TRS social media campaign

Hyderabad: Nizamabad MP K Kavitha has been made in-charge of social media campaign of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) for the ensuing elections. According to party sources, the Nizamabad MP would be heading the party’s social media campaign for the coming elections. K Kavitha took into her hands the responsibility of reaching out to as many as possible via social media. Speaking in a meeting of TRSKV, the workers union of the party, Kavitha said that every worker should work like a soldier and all the workers should reach out to at least one crore people. She said that the responsibility of taking the welfare and development activities of the government to the people was on the workers. 

She said that the TRS government has provided more salaries to the workers and employees compared to the other states in the country. Kavitha added that she was happy to note that the party was strengthening in 119 Assembly constituencies by having 25 lakh membership in 31 district committees. 

The TRS leader listed out the initiatives of the government including pensions of Rs 1,000 to the poor, abolition of life tax on the autos, tractors, insurance money of Rs 5 lakhs to the workers who have died accidentally. She said that about 9.80 lakh have been provided insurance cover under the scheme. The insurance money for the building workers was increased from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 6 lakh and about 19 lakh construction workers were brought under the insurance cover. The salaries of the GHMC workers were increased from Rs 6,700 to Rs 14,000. The TRSKV leaders Roop Singh, P Narayan, V Maraiah, Nageswar Rao, Sharada, Ch Prabhakar, Bharati, K Madhavi and others were also present.
