Funds sanctioned for all-round development of Madhira constituency

Madhira: Several development activities have been launched and works are being carried out at a brisk pace in Madhira constituency. The initiative for launching development works have been taken by the Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao and MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. A total of Rs 15 crores has been sanctioned by the government through Municipal Administration and Urban Department.

The officials completed the process of calling tenders for laying interlinking roads, construction of dividers, drainage, circles at Atkur, YSR and Ambedkar junctions, purchasing of land for establishment of dumping yard and for installation of street lights and central lighting system for all-round development of Madhira constituency.

Some of the development works are progressing at a brisk space. Funds to the tune of Rs 2.4 crore was released under Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes sub-plan. With the completion of road widening works from Atkur junction to Agriculture Market Yard in Madhira Town, the Municipal administration is gearing up for completing the construction of Municipaly building, vegetable market and parks along with installation of central lighting on the highway of Madhira Town under Madhira Municipal limits at brisk pace.

The Minister and the MP, besides Chairman of Seed Development Corporation Kondabala Koteshwara Rao, are making efforts to secure funds for the construction of bridge over Wyra River to connect Madhira with Madhupalli villages as the part of all-round development of Madhira constituency.
