PC Musthafa youngest recipient to receive DDA in the history of IIMB
BENGALURU: The co-founder of iD Fresh Food (India) Private Limited, PC Musthafa, 44, who makes batter for idlis and dosas, is the youngest recipient to receive the Distinguished Alumni Awards (DAA) in the history of IIMB.
“My father would be proud to see my name on the Wall of Fame at the institute,” Mustafa said, thanking his batch of 2007 for nominating him.
Musthafa, was a school dropout who had gone to study at the IIMB, he is the son of a daily wager from a remote village in Kerala. He wanted to be an entrepreneur at a very young age and started an enterprise that sold idli-dosa batter jointly along with his cousins as he was pursuing his MBA. The preservative-free batter for idlis and dosas became success in the south Indian states and his business grew quickly.
S Vaidyanathan (PGP 1992), MV Rajamannar (PGP 1985), are the other two recipients, Vaidyanathan is the co-founder of Ganga Trust, who is a wheelchair-bound but has left no stone unturned to help others with disabilities, and Rajamannar is the chief marketing and communications officer and president-healthcare business, Mastercard.
Prof G Raghuram, director, IIMB, will present a report regarding the IIMB growth on the day of the event. The theme for the Foundation Day Lecture is ‘real empowerment’ which will be delivered by chief guest Malavika R Harita, founder-CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Focus, at the IIMB auditorium at 5.30 PM.
