Pictures Of Couple 'Having Sex' On Top Of A Pyramid In Egypt Prompt International Investigation
Of all the things that Egypt is known for, this by far is the craziest. We’ve heard and read about people with bizarre hobbies and borderline-creepy to-do lists, but nothing and no one can compare to this.
Why the two of them thought this would be a good idea is a tough question to answer. Not only is climbing pyramids illegal and dangerous, but it is also not exactly conducive to sexual fantasies. The man and the woman, however, didn’t have such reservations and did what they had to – posing like they were doing it on top of a pyramid, to join the 'Nile-high' club.
People have weird fantasies and this couple seems to have taken it a bit too far. Andreas Hvid, a Danish photographer, released a video and a series of photos on Friday which showed him and a naked woman on the top of the Great Pyramid of Giza, Egypt.
The photos were obviously not received too well by both public of Egypt and the government too. According to Egyptian outlet Ahram Online, Egypt’s Minister of Antiquities Khaled El-Anany has ordered an investigation of the validity of the images and look whether Hvid and his friend really filmed an explicit pornographic video atop the pyramid.
A former official talking to NBC said that the footage and the photo are fake because there is no way that anyone can enter the Pyramids area at night and of course it is quite darn illegal to trespass on and climbs the pyramids.
In an exclusive interview to Ekstrabladet, a Danish outlet, Hvid indicates that the photos are real and that he’s going to stay out of Egypt in the future as he risks being arrested if he goes back.
He also said that he was obsessed with taking the photo for years and planned to make it happen. He said that they snuck across the fence well away from the pyramid and slowly made their way toward the pyramid.
Hvid described the feeling of reaching the top as ‘euphoric’ and the view as ‘magical’. Along with the photos she also released a video of their act - which shows the couple sneaking around and quietly climbing the pyramid at night.
Hvid while expressing his feelings said that he didn’t expect people to get so annoyed. In his conversation with Ekstrabladet, he also cleared up the question that he and the model were not having sex but just posing.
