Hyderabad: Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali would not celebrate his birthday falling on March 2 in view of the recent terror attack by the terrorists in Pulwama in which over 40 CRPF personnel were martyred.
Since Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao also did not celebrate his birthday on February 17, Mahmood Ali urged the party men and others to contribute for welfare of bereaved families of the martyred instead of holding celebrations.
Mahmood Ali said his followers, well-wishers and others may generously contribute for the families of the personnel of CRPF as a humanitarian gesture. Moreover, the Minister will be away from the station due to pre-occupations on that day.
