Swine flu virus remain at its peak in Telangana: 4 tested positve from NALSAR university on Monday
HYDERABAD: The dangerous flu continues to be at its peak over few months in Telangana State. Four students from the NALSAR university shamirpet were tested positive for the H1N1 virus on Monday. The four female students were admitted to the Gandhi hospital on Sunday evening.
All the four students were brought in stable condition when they got admitted, as a precautionary meausre they were put in the hospital. During the tests they were found to be positive with the virus and they have been isolate from other patients. said Dr P Shravan Kumar, Superintendent, Gandhi Hospital.
The four students pursing law at the NALSAR university belonged to four different states but have been doing the residential course at the campus. There were sparking fears of the virus widely spreading at in university.
It's been reported that between January 1 and January 22, a total number of 214 positive cases have been reported in the state, as per official records. Experts have asked people to take precautionary measures like staying away from crowded places and maintaining basic hygiene as the virulence of the virus is expected to remain high due to lower temperatures. Low temperature makes the atmosphere highly conducive for the virus to spread. Since the temperatures have been dipping around 10-15 degrees, virus activity showed to be relatively high.
