Update: 2019-01-24 21:47 IST

TPCC chief Uttam Kumar alleged that the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Rajath Kumar ignored the former's request of counting VVPAT slips during the assembly elections despite an alleged EVM tampering. Citing Rajasthan and Chattisgarh, Uttam said that they have counted the VVPAT slips in the regions where the  EVM tampering was suspected.

Making it clear, Uttam said that they have demanded the VVPAT slips counting pertaining to the mismatch of the number between polling and counting. He also alleged that the EC had gone to polls without rectifying the errors in the voter list and failed to hold the free and fair elections in the state.

The TPCC chief also demanded to hold the parliament elections with ballot papers.
