EC allows Congress to deploy vigilance teams at strong rooms besides 3-tier security

The Central paramilitary forces have been deployed to guard the EVMs which were in the strong rooms.  The machines are kept in 48 locations across the state and being guarded by three-tier security with CCTVs installed at the strong rooms.

On Saturday, the EC allowed the Congress to deploy vigilance teams at EVM strong rooms. Congress has appealed to EC to provide vigilance teams at the place fearing machine tampering and replacement of EVMs.

The TPCC treasurer Gudur Narayana wrote to EC requesting to deploy the vigil team at the strong rooms. The strong rooms will be opened on the counting day i.e, on December 11.
