Amaravati: The TDP ex MLA P Abdul Ghani is going to contest against the party sitting MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna at Hindupur constituency from YSRCP.

Abdul Ghani resigned to the TDP primary membership and joined in YSRCP in the presence of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy during Padayatra on Saturday.

The ex MLA said that he didn't get respect in TDP from last four and half years, speaking with this Correspondent over a telephone conversation.

He said that Balakrishna never cared about the constituency and public. Abdul Ghani blamed that he joined and worked in TDP with the inspiration of party founder NT Ramarao. But he said that the present circumstances in the party forced him to leave the TDP. He said that he will contest in the ensuing general elections against Balakrishna and expressed confidence of winning.

He served as MLA from the same constituency during 2009-14. He said that he sacrificed the seat to Balakrishna on the request of party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Despite of working hard for the party in the constituency, Balakrishna never recognised the efforts, he claimed.

He also observed that there was a local and non local feeling among public, which would help him to win in the coming elections.
