Telangana Assembly Elections 2018: Vikarabad SP transferred a day after Revanth Reddy arrest

Vikarabad Superintendent of Police Annapurna has been transferred by the Election Commission a day after the arrest of Revanth Reddy. With respect to it, the EC appointed Avinash Mohanthy in Annapurna's place. 

Transferring Annapurna, the EC said that her services will not be used for the elections. She was also asked to report to her headquarters at DGP's office.

The move has come after the High Court expressed anger over EC and DGP with the sudden arrest of Revanth Reddy at 3 am on Tuesday. Revanth was arrested by the police after being directed by EC to avoid a clash with TRS which organised a public meeting in Kosgi.
