Telangana Assembly Elections 2018 : KCR assures to provide water from Tungabhadra

 Caretaker chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao assured to provide 15.9 tmc irrigation water from Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme with an aim to cultivate 85,000 acres to 1.25 lakh acres.

Speaking at Praja Ashiwada Sabha in Alampur, KCR also promised to provide water supply to tail end areas ayacut from Thummila Lift Irrigation Scheme. The CM also slammed the Congress leaders for the injustice done to the farmers during their regime.

KCR also hit out at AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu who objected the construction of Thummilla project. "As soon as Naidu raised objection against the project, Irrigation minister Harish Rao also raised concerns pertaining to the Machumarri project construction in Andhra Pradesh and this made Naidu shut his mouth," said KCR. 

He then promised to provide Tungabhadra water allocated to Telangana by Bachawat Tribunal.
