Deliveries, caesarean free for poor women in the private hospitals very soon

  •  Government included deliveries in NTR Vaidya Seva Trust Services

Guntur: The government  decided to include deliveries in the NTR Vaidya Seva Trust Services to render free medical services in the private hospitals in the state. All the pregnant women in the white ration card holders families in the state may take free medical services in the private hospitals and undergo for free medical tests in the NTR Vaidya Seva linked hospitals. They may join in the NTR Vaidya Seva linked hospital for deliveries and undergo for caesarean in the private hospitals at free of cost. 

The government will reimburse the bills to the NTR Vaida Seva Trust services linked hospitals. Following orders of the government,Special Chief Secretary Medial and Health Poonam Malakondaiah took this decision and framing guidelines which will be issued very shortly. The government has already informed about the scheme to the DMHOs. 

At present poor and middle class families are spending thousands of rupees for medical tests to the pregnant  women and for deliveries. For deliveries in the private hospitals are charging upto Rs. 50,000. From pregnancy to delivery a family is spending Rs. 70,000 to Rs. 80,000 for medical tests and medicines. Taking this the government incorporated 

 deliveries in the NTR Vaidya Seva. If a women delivered two babies, the family would have pay more than Rs. 1-lakh for deliveries to the hospitals.  

DMHO Dr.J.Yasmin said “ Government decided to incorporate free deliveries in the NTR VaidyaSeva Trust for the benefit pregnant of poor families. We are waiting for G.O.”
