Protests launched across the district

Kadapa: In the wake of attempt to murder on YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in Visakhapatnam, party cadres headed by MLA’s in the constituencies like Pulivendula, Proddaturu, Rayachoti, Mudukuru, Kamalapuram,  Railway Kodur, Kadapa city,  have performed rallies, protests on Thursday. Traders in Pulivendula voluntarily shut down their business establishments, while one party hard core activist called A.Lakshminarayana (37) of Bakkannagari village of Vempalli mandal attempt suicide by silting his throat during the protest as party activists foiled his effort later shifted him to the police station.

Meanwhile in the constituencies represented by TDP like Badvel,Jammalamadugu, Yerraguntla, YSR congress party activists organized rallies headed by local leaders. Speaking the occasion former Madapa MP Avinash Reddy demanded the government to initiate stringent action against the accused and also master mind who  was behind  scene.  He also demanded that government should provide adequate security to the Jagan Mohan Reddy till he conclusion of his Padayatra in the state.

Meanwhile CPM state secretary P.Madhu who was in Kadapa city for participating in the party meetings condemned the incident demanded judicial probe over the issue as there was suspicions in the statements given by the Home Minister, and Director General of Police.
