Balapur Ganesh laddu smashes record, auctioned at Rs 16.6 lakh

Balapur Ganesh which garnered fame with the laddu auction has set a new record this year fetching Rs 16.6 lakh. 

Srinivas Gupta of Arya-Vysya committee has owned the laddu in the auction. The laddu has been handed over to Srinivas along with the silver bowl which was donated by the laddu makers.

It may be recalled that the Balapur laddu had fetched Rs 15 lakh last year. Scores of people have taken part in the auction which was conducted today morning.

The laddu which is popularly called as Golden laddu has many significant aspects and people believe that owning the laddu would give them good health, wealth, agricultural yield and business growth.

Balapur Ganesh laddu is being prepared by Honey foods of Tapeswaram. They have donated the 21-kg laddu along with a silver bowl this year.
