Lovers end life after parents' reject marriage proposal

Hyderabad: A couple in a relationship ended their lives on late Sunday at Shankarpalli after their parents rejected their marriage proposal.

Yellesh (22) and Lavanya (19) were in a relationship for some time and the duo has decided to marry each other with their parents' consent. But both of their parents refused to accept their marriage after they disclosed the matter. 

Depressed over the issue, Yellesh committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree near his house. Soon after getting the news of Yellesh's suicide, Lavanya set herself on fire and succumbed to serious burn injuries. 

A case of suicide was registered by the police.
