Hyderabad: OGH doctors continue protest for new hospital building

Doctors at Osmania General Hospital (OGH) intensified the protest on Saturday alleging that authorities have failed to utilise Rs 200 crore allocated for the construction of new hospital building. 

"Patients, nurses and junior doctors are refusing to come to the hospital as the condition of the building is worsening," said Dr PS Vijayender chairman of Telangana Juniors Doctors Association. 

He also added that inpatient wards have been shifted to the first floor and ground floor of the building. "Due to the shortage of beds, the patients have been forced to sit on the floor," the doctor said.

The doctor also recalled that KCR had promised of constructing two buildings each of 10 floors, but there was no progress.
