Hyderabad: 15 police teams to crack Nizam museum theft case
Hyderabad: Special police teams have been formed to nab the burglars in connection with the missing items from Nizam Museum, which were stolen on Monday.
Additional Commissioner of Police (crime), Shikha Goel said the city police have been segregated into 15 teams to catch the culprits and trace the antiques soon.
A three-tier gold tiffin box, a cup, a saucer and a spoon embedded with precious stones have been stolen from the Museum by two burglars who entered the building through a ventilator. Though there are CCTV footages installed in the Museum, the police were unable to trace them as the footage was not clear. The price of antique pieces is estimated in crores.
Shikha Goel who inspected the burglary appealed to the museum authorities to upgrade the security system to prevent such cases from occurring in future.
The Nizam Family Welfare Association also requested the police commissioner to crack the case soon.
