Officials told to implement SC, ST, BC, Minority welfare schemes

 Khammam: District Collector D S Lokesh Kumar here on Wednesday directed the officials to speed up the development works on schedule. He also asked the official to ensure that welfare schemes are implemented.

The Collector chairing a meeting with the officials of various departments and reviewing the progress of schemes for the welfare of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes and Minorities. Targets fixed for sanctioning loans to those belonging to the SCs, STs, BCs and Minorities should be reached. 

Speaking at the meeting, Lokesh Kumar instructed the officials to complete the process of launching the units sanctioned during the last year and those which are in pending by consulting the respective bank officials.

After reviewing the admission of students into SC, ST, BC and Minority welfare hostels, the Collector instructed the officials to sanction scholarships and release fees reimbursement dues without delay after receiving funds from the government.

The District BC Welfare Officer Hrushikesh Reddy, District Social Welfare Officer K Sathyanarayana, District Minority Welfare Officer Ramesh and Executive Director of the SC Corporation Y Prabhakar were present at the meeting.
